Preparing students to be successful now and after they graduate in the workforce and in life is the essence of this class. Students will explore different career options that they are interested in, create professional business documents such as a resume, cover letter, reference page, digital e-folio, learn how to apply for a job, practice interviewing techniques and selling themselves, examine what it takes to be successful when beginning a new job, and how to be a team-player in the workforce. Not only will they learn about work, but we will also discuss success skills, managing money, how to use technology to your advantage. This is a course that aims to provide practical knowledge and skills that can be used immediately to succeed in today's society.
